Women Unemployment

Women Unemployment

For decades, the world has struggled with inequality. Women have been left behind as progress has been slow, and the current recovery is failing them. The figures above show that in 2020, both men's and women's unemployment rose, but women's unemployment has yet to recover. In addition, the unemployment rate among female heads of households stands at 16%, roughly 3 times higher than the national average.
